What Happens Next

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification with:

  1. Identification of the removed material and its former location
  2. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, and consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court
  4. Your physical or electronic signature

We will restore the content in 10-14 business days unless the complainant initiates legal proceedings.

South African Users (ECTA s77)

Notifications from South African rights holders are processed under ECTA Chapter XI, section 77. The requirements above satisfy ECTA's notification requirements. The service provider is not liable for content stored at the direction of a user, provided we act expeditiously to remove or disable access upon receiving a compliant takedown notification.

Repeat Infringers

We terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Uploading content after a valid takedown counts toward the repeat-infringer threshold.
